Fresh fish & seafood

At M&J we source our fresh fish and seafood from the best of the World's catch.  To do this we have both local and international buyers, ensuring we offer you the best range, quality and value in your area.

Local sourcing:  Each M&J branch has it's own local fresh fish buyer, sourcing the best of the UK's catch along with all local specialities.  For example, in Scotland we supply locally produced Haddock fillets, in Wimborne we supply locally caught South Coast fish, and so on.

International sourcing:  As well as the familiar traditional species caught and landed around the coasts of the UK, our international buyers search for the best of the world's catch.  As well as supplementing the stocks of traditional species, this also provides access to a wealth of additional species.

To advise all our buyers of forecasts and provide up to date daily information, we have contacts at every major port that buy for M&J from local fisherman on day boats, guaranteeing the freshest catches.  We also buy direct from some of the larger boats, allowing us to secure the highest quality fish and ensure you receive it quicker and fresher.

See our product list for the core range of fresh fish, but for the full variety of what's available today, speak to your local branch.
