Fresh fish and seafood

At M&J we have both local and international fresh fish buyers, ensuring we offer you the best quality, range and value for money in your area.

To advise our buyers of forecasts and provide up to date daily information, we are in touch with every major port.  We buy direct from local fisherman on day boats to guarantee the freshest catch as well as direct from some of the larger boats, allowing us to secure the best of their catch and ensure you receive it quicker and fresher.  This is supplemented by sourcing the best from the rest of the world’s catch.

In addition, we offer our British Skippers Scheme, where chefs get email updates from selected boats before they land, allowing them to reserve the finest premium quality, responsibly caught fish.


Frozen and chilled

To compliment our fresh fish, M&J offer the largest range of frozen products.  From essentials like prawns to value-added specialties such as scampi and battered and breaded fillets.  See our product list for the full range.

At each local M&J branch the deli chiller contains a large range of seafood products including smoked salmon, gravadlax, crab meat, caviar, crayfish tails, anchovy fillets, dressed crabs, terrines, marinated herrings and salmon rolls.

M&J also supply high quality British Farm Assured fresh chicken, bacon, professional cooking wines and spirits, mayonnaise, tinned tuna, olive oils, stock bases, sauces and much more.
